On Sunday, July 1st, CERT volunteer Norah Sliger used her training to save a life during her lunch hour. Putting her emergency response training to the ultimate test, Ms. Sliger performed abdominal thrusts to save the life of a woman who was actively choking on a piece of food at an adjacent table while dining at a local restaurant.
